What is the PSA?
The Parent School Association (PSA) is a volunteer organization that promotes parent/family involvement in the OLC community. It includes the Executive Committee, Class Parents, and all parents of OLC/LHA students. There are no membership fees; all parents are invited to join and participate in PSA activities and its mission.

What is the PSA Mission?
We are a liaison between parents and school administration, faculty, and staff. We build community, involvement, and school spirit by the following:
1. We organize social events such as Movie Afternoons, Breakfast with Santa, and Taste of Jersey City to bring OLC/LHA families together.
2. We support OLC’s initiatives via fundraising efforts.
3. We manage the class parent program in support of OLC/LHA class groups.
4. We provide a communication forum through newsletters, social media, emails, and periodic meetings.

What is the PSA Executive Committee?
The PSA Executive Committee is a group of parents appointed by the administration to support the faculty, staff, administration, and parents of OLC with the goal of making OLC the best school for our children by executing on the PSA Mission, with the help of other volunteers from the OLC community.  

Does OLC really need volunteers ?
You bet! Our school’s beautiful playground was built thanks to the tireless efforts of PSA volunteers and others.  This year we are fundraising to improve Victory Hall - changes are already underway thanks to last year's efforts! 

By volunteering, you make a direct impact on your child’s experience at OLC. You will bring in much-needed energy and experience as a valued member of our OLC community.  You set a great example for the students of OLC.  You (and your whole family) will make new and lifelong bonds.  And who knows, you might even gain new skills and discover hidden talents.

Many PSA volunteering roles (and all Class Parent positions) require completion of Protecting God’s Children training sessions for the protection of the OLC students.
