Applicants must submit their middle school transcripts, standardized test scores, attendance records, (I do this) letters of recommendation, and an essay; a portfolio is strongly recommended. Portfolios are only accepted in the form of Google Slides, where indicated in the application.

Recommendation Letters must be submitted via SchoolMint by November 1st, 2019. The 1st recommendation letter must be submitted by a teacher and the 2nd letter is optional. Hard copies will not be accepted. Please do not send hard copies to the school.  All applicants will receive a confirmation email stating the required teacher recommendation was received.

Performing arts students MUST audition. Audition details and information are included as part of the online application once a Performing Arts major is selected.

The Admission Review Committee (ARC) is a school-based committee comprised of counselors, teachers and administrators. The ARC performs a comprehensive evaluation based on the applicant’s grades, attendance, test scores, special skills, talents, interests, letters of recommendation, essay, portfolio, and audition (if required). Applicants are selected based on this criteria while considering the demographics of Hudson County. Students/parents/counselors will receive an email in mid-February; students will be notified of their orientation meeting upon acceptance.

Xavier High School visit :]

Here are some reminders from Xavier High School after their visit this morning.
Open House on October 19 (11:30 am to 4:00 pm) - They can pre-register at www.xavierhs.org/inquire.
More importantly, Knight for a Day is filling up very quickly.  If the boys want to shadow for the day (and I think it's good that they do, if they want to have a real sense of the day-to-day experience of a Xavier student), then they should register as soon as possible at www.xavierhs.org/inquire.
