About the Teachers
Hi OLC School Families!
I am Mrs. Vonteddu and I am excited to be teaching at OLC for my first year!
I received my undergrad degree in Food Science from the University of Minnesota and my Graduate Teaching Licensure in Elementary Education from the College of St. Scholastica in Minnesota. While completing my studies, I have worked for the past 7 years in different early childhood and elementary settings including pre-K, after-school care, and in 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade classrooms.
I am excited for a fantastic year of learning in Kindergarten! I hope to help my students grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally throughout their entire year while I strive to make learning come alive and be as hands on as possible.
In my free time, I enjoy being outside in my garden, spending time with my husband, baking, and exploring this new world called New Jersey (as I recently moved here from Minnesota) 😊.
Hello everyone, my name is Efraim Harvey. I have worked as an instructional aide for a year at a child care community center in Bayonne, assisting in the education of both pre-k and kindergarten. While there, I also worked as a camp counselor for first grade.
Although I am new to teaching in OLC, this is not my first experience with the school as I am an alumni who graduated in the year 2006. I am truly excited to work in a familiar environment with such wonderful children and am very grateful to have been given this opportunity. I aim to show each child how fun learning can be and what it means to connect as a school family.
