February Letter

A Message
From the Principal’s Desk

February 2010

As you are well aware, Catholic Schools Week is well underway. On Tuesday, many parents came to school to speak to the students about their professions and/or special interests. I want to personally thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to support Little Harbor Academy and The OLC School. When a school partners with parents, it makes a difference. That is why I believe we need a Home-School Association.
In my January message, I mentioned this idea. I hope to bring back to The OLC School and LHA a Home-School Association. Parents who are interested in taking on a leadership role in the organization are encouraged to email me at stefanellia@oclschool.org or the office at office@olcschool.org. I have two teachers who have volunteered to be the first teacher representatives.
To conclude, I would like to invite you to view the posters the OLC students made for Catholic Schools Week. Because of parental involvement, the students now understood the way one captures an idea in a graphic design. The theme of Catholic Schools Week this year, Dividends for Life-Discipline, Knowledge, Morals, Faith, was magnificently illustrated in the children’s posters.   The posters will be on display in the Dining Hall Monday, February 8th through the 12th. I hope that you will be able to take a stroll through our “gallery”.

In peace and happiness,

Anna Mae Stefanelli
