From the Principal’s Desk
On behalf of the faculty and staff at Our Lady of Czestochowa School and our sister school, Little Harbor Academy, I welcome you to our new and improved web site. I am pleased to be able to share with you the qualities that make our schools special as well as outstanding places to learn. The faculty and staff strive to create a school atmosphere that generates respect and appreciation for all. This can only occur when the schools’ leader sets the example. Thus, my goal will always be to sustain and enrich the positive and spiritual tone at The OLC School and LHA as I continue to build relationships with the faculty, staff, parents, and, most importantly, the students. It is my desire to see that we will continue the tradition that has existed for over eighty years, and that is “to provide a quality education on the waterfront.” I invite you to partner with me and my faculty and staff to make this happen.
Accredited by the Middle States Commission, our schools are delightful places to learn because of the outstanding faculty and staff. The teachers, specialists, and support staff at The OLC School, grades 1-8, and LHA, ages two through five, are dedicated, cooperative, and understanding and will do whatever it takes to help the students succeed. In addition, we believe that an essential component of a successful school is the willingness of the faculty and staff to evolve and improve instructional practices. Proudly, I can say that they are dedicated to professional development. Another one of my goals is to assist and support them in their effort to bring to their students the best practices possible.
It is obvious that upon entering our schools one will see a warm, friendly, child-centered atmosphere where the hearts, minds, and spirits of the students soar. Throughout the building a variety of student work adorns the halls. Each piece illustrates our commitment to excellence in education. Furthermore, our students, God’s wonderful creations, are committed to helping and serving those who are less fortunate. Our caring, hardworking staff cultivates happy, successful, motivated, and spiritual students who enjoy coming to school to learn, grow, and serve.
In conclusion, we welcome you to experience Our Lady of Czestochowa School and Little Harbor Academy’s charm and to see how we strive for excellence, develop a sense of community, promote Christian values, and embrace diversity. We hope that our new web site will be more useful for our current OLC and LHA families as well as informative for prospective families
